Dear Friends and Loved Ones,

We are presently on the verge of stepping over the halfway point of this extraordinary year. Just six months ago, the new year seemed to hold such promise! None of us could have predicted the kind of world shaking turmoil that we have collectively experienced.

Without question, the present global crisis is frustrating the best minds, bankrupting the richest countries, and paralyzing the most powerful. Governments the world over seem to be at a loss about how to go forward. Both symbolically, as well as actually, the world’s leaders have been brought to their knees.

So what is to be done? Who is going to step in the breach to lead the way forward? In our humble opinion, the only qualified body of people in the world today — is the Church. The followers of Christ are going to be the only ones in possession of meaningful solutions for our world’s problems.

Could it be that we are finally at the threshold of fully realizing the manifold wisdom of God as it is most completely displayed in Jesus Christ. The apostle Paul describes God’s wisdom as being
“a mystery that has been hidden — a mystery that God destined for our glory before time began.” 1 Corinthians 2:7

Paul goes on to tell us that the things that God has prepared for those who love him encompass,
“What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived.” 1 Corinthians 2:9

If this is true — we, of all people, are to be the ones to change the world.
If this is true — we, of all people, are to be the ones to administer justice.
If this is true — we, of all people, are to be the ones to bring about peace.
Viewed from this perspective — maybe the present crisis comes with a silver lining? Maybe we have been placed here for such a time as this?

If this is true — then our finest days have arrived!

Let us be encouraged,

🙏 Prayer Requests 🙏

06/25/20

  • Let’s pray that God will greatly increase our FAITH.
Faith is the attribute of God that reflects the Spirit — the creative image of God who brings light into darkness.
Without faith we would not be able to believe in a better world.
  • Let’s pray that God will greatly increase our HOPE.
Hope is the attribute of God that realizes the Son — the caring image of God who holds everything together.
Without hope we would not be able to appreciate the need for unity.
  • Let’s pray that God will greatly increase our LOVE.
Love is the attribute of God that reveals the Father — the covering image of God who reconciles all things.
Without love we would not have the capacity to forgive one another.
